Becoming part of the solution

I stand here today, my heart steady and clear,
With reverence, I part from you, my old companion, my ego dear.
You have been my guide, a shadow in the light,
Revealing fears, both hidden and in plain sight.

You taught me much through pain and strife,
You shaped the lens through which I saw life.
Through you, I faced the insecurities within,
And learned the patterns that kept me locked in.

But now, I realise it is time to part ways,
For I see beyond the illusions you used to raise.
Your whispers of fear no longer bind me tight,
I have found my way to the truth and the light.

No longer will I wear the mask you gave,
For I now understand the path I must pave.
Through your lessons, I’ve grown, I’ve learned,
And in my heart, I feel my soul has returned.

The fears that once ruled, have now been seen,
And I stand in the peace of what I truly mean.
I thank you for all the guidance you gave,
For helping me awaken, for making me brave.

But now, my ego, our journey ends here,
For I’ve found the freedom that was always near.
I embrace the joy, the love, and the grace,
As I step forward into a new sacred space.

Thank you, dear ego, for all that you’ve been,
I walk now in wholeness, free from within.
With love in my heart, and peace in my mind,
I let you go, and leave the past behind.

Goodbye, my ego. May you rest in your place,
As I move ahead, full of love and grace.
