Tom Campbell does not publicly explain in detail his personal experimentation with consciousness as he feels that this would be a distraction from his work. In this clip he explains that the information he presents about consciousness and reality did not come from being told or given explicit truths through non-physical experiences or encounters with wise beings. Instead, Campbell emphasises that the process of understanding reality requires personal exploration and self-discovery.
The system, he explains, provides opportunities for individuals to figure things out for themselves. One might receive nudges or experiences that offer valuable insights, but ultimately, the understanding and development of a comprehensive model must come from within. Campbell describes his journey of research, analysis, and contemplation that spanned several decades before he felt ready to share his insights in books and talks. His understanding emerged mainly from his own experiences, including those in the larger consciousness system and non-physical virtual realities.
Campbell acknowledges the importance of all realities, emphasising that each is equally real in its own way. While he acknowledges some help along the way, such as experiences and guidance from individuals like Bob and Rowe, Campbell asserts that he did not receive the answers but rather figured them out himself through diligent exploration and observation
