A Theory of Everything (TOE) is a scientific idea that aims to explain how the universe works. However, the idea of a TOE can be limited by our perspective, knowledge, and limitations. A “Little Picture” TOE that only focuses on Physical Matter Reality (PMR) is like a tiny TOE from the perspective of bacteria living in our intestines. To them, everything that is potentially knowable is limited to their surroundings, and things like nuclear fusion or the composition of the atmosphere are not directly significant to them.
Similarly, humans may be limited in our understanding of the universe, and there may be a natural practical limit to the extent of our knowledge. We may only be a small part of a much greater reality, and there may be phenomena, interactions, relationships, and ordered happenings upon which our reality and existence profoundly depend, much of which we cannot directly perceive.
To break this limitation, we need to consider the possibility that our PMR may be a local reality and a subset of something larger. If the larger and more general paradigm provides a better and more concise understanding of the available data as well as produces valuable new knowledge, approaches, and processes, then the more general conceptualisation is also a more accurate, productive, and truer representation of the whole.
